The Reverend Doctor Tracey Davenport
Rev. Dr. Tracey was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and grew up in a military family (her father was a Naval aviator and flight instructor) living all over the United States. She attended Baylor and George Mason Universities where she received a BS in Nursing. She worked at Georgetown University for a short while following graduation and then moved to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX serving as a nurse in the liver and kidney transplant unit.
Recognizing that her true calling was for ordained ministry, Tracey and her husband Jack moved to Austin, TX where she attended Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Following graduation and ordination, Tracey has served as an Associate Pastor in San Angelo, Texas, then as Pastor of her own congregation in Georgia. In 2012 she completed the Doctor of Ministry Program at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
Tracey and Jack were married in 1989. Jack is a software engineer and an Elder in the PC (USA). They love watching movies and traveling together. They have two daughters.
The Reverend Elizabeth Milford
Rev. Elizabeth has called many places home. Growing up, she was blessed by the care of congregations in Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee where her parents, a Presbyterian pastor and a Christian educator, were called to serve. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English with emphasis in Rhetoric and Writing and a minor in Spanish. After college, Elizabeth returned to her birthplace of Richmond, Virginia to study at Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education (now Union Presbyterian Seminary). She completed a dual-degree program, receiving a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Christian Education, and was ordained by the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee as a minister of word and sacrament in 2009. Her first call was as a pastoral resident at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church just outside of Philadelphia. Elizabeth began serving at HPC in July 2011.
With a heart for mission, Elizabeth is excited to join others in living out their faith through service, whether they are helping to feed the hungry during the week, painting a future community center on a mission trip, or building relationships with brothers and sisters in Christ in Guatemala. As an educator, Elizabeth loves to learn with God’s children of all ages, whether in a local retirement community or in the mountains of North Carolina at a Montreat Youth Conference. She is a member of APCE (Association of Presbyterian Church Educators), and the Company of New Pastors. The role of "Associate Pastor for Discipleship and Mission" may be a mouthful, but Elizabeth enjoys the opportunity to serve in ministry in a variety of ways.
In her free time, Elizabeth loves to travel and experience new places, plays Ultimate Frisbee, practices yoga, and enjoys game and movie nights with friends. She is also an avid sports fan, especially during college basketball season (GO HEELS!), and will cheer at just about any sporting event. Elizabeth and her husband Matt, Director of Youth Ministries at Towson United Methodist Church, were married at HPC in 2012, and feel truly blessed to be a part of such a wonderful church family.
